Acetate Stickers from Recycled Materials
These charming acetate stickers are made from recycled plastic packaging, paper scraps, and a few easy-to-find supplies. They’re perfect for adding a whimsical touch to cards, tags, gift bags, or any paper craft project—and they make great items to sell at craft fairs too!

You’ll Need:
-
Clear plastic packaging or acetate sheets (recycled works great)
-
Foam tape or dots for dimension
-
Paper scraps
-
Alcohol-based markers like Sharpies or acrylic markers
-
Assorted punches or decorative scissors
-
Optional: glitter glue, pearl accents, rhinestones, etc.
How To Make Them:
-
Create the Base: Punch or cut your acetate into your largest flower shape. Decorate it with Sharpie or acrylic markers—add a border, doodles, or fill it in completely.
-
Layer with Paper: Punch or cut out smaller shapes from paper scraps. Layer these over the acetate, creating a size gradient for a blooming effect.
-
Add Dimension: Use foam tape or dots to raise a layer—typically the first—so your acetate design peeks through. Or keep it simple with flat layers or even just a sticker on top.
-
Get Creative: Use fun punch shapes like flowers, snowflakes, sunbursts, or scallops. Don’t worry if you only have circle punches—they still work beautifully! Decorative scissors can help you shape your own designs, and die cuts are great too.
Experiment with colors, textures, and embellishments to make each sticker unique.
Happy paper crafting!
