Book Holder Album 12x12's #9

Book Holder Album

I've updated this album to include a hidden journal instead of binding book pages into the back page. This versatile album features customizable pockets, addable flips, and endless decoration possibilities.

Materials

You'll need:

  • 1 sheet of 12×12″ double-sided scrapbook paper (non-directional designs are easier to work with)
  • 1 sheet of 7 1/2″ x 5 3/4″ scrapbook paper for the insert booklet (plus additional paper cut to size for up to 6 pages)
  • Scoreboard
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Scoring the Main Album:

    • Score the 12×12″ paper at 4″ and 8″.
    • Rotate the paper 90 degrees and score at 6″.
    • Fold and burnish all score lines.
    • Cut, fold, and assemble the piece as shown in the video tutorial.
  2. Creating the Insert Booklet:

    • Fold the 7 1/2″ x 5 3/4″ paper in half to create the cover.
    • Bind the pages using your preferred method: sewing, staples, or elastic.
  3. Finishing Touches:

    • Decorate and fill your album as desired.
    • Add small tabs to the cover of the insert booklet where the notches are in the album for extra embellishment.

Happy paper crafting!
