Double Pocket Inserts Tutorial 12x12's #11

Double Pocket Inserts Tutorial

Want to learn a new pocket style? This project shows you how to make two double pocket inserts, featuring a cute corner flip cover pocket that hides another pocket underneath. You can use double or single-sided paper for this project. Once you master this technique, you'll be able to create these pockets in any size without needing a scoreboard.

Materials

What you’ll need:

  • One sheet of 12×12″ paper cut into two 6×12″ pieces. Double or single-sided.
  • Scoreboard or scoring tool
  • Glue

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Paper:

    • Choose your 12×12″ sheet. Non-directional paper is easier to work with.
    • Cut the sheet at 6″ to get two 6×12″ pieces.
  2. Scoring and Folding:

    • Follow the video tutorial for detailed scoring, folding, and gluing instructions.
    • For single-sided paper, fold and glue differently so that only one white area is visible. Instructions for both types of paper are provided in the tutorial.
  3. Making Pockets in Any Size:

    • To create these pockets in any size, fold your paper into three equal widths.
    • Fold and glue as shown in the tutorial.
    • Decorate and fill as desired.

Happy paper crafting!
