Double-Sided Album 12x12's #18
Looking for a versatile and quick project for bulk album making? This double-sided album is perfect for your holiday crafting needs. Its cut-apart design is great for using up scraps and mixing and matching patterns. Below are the measurements and instructions. Plus, there are several creative ways to incorporate an envelope. The interactive flap conceals a slim pocket. The envelope design was too beautiful to hide so I added an extra pocket to tuck it in.
Materials Needed:
- 1 sheet of 12×12″ scrapbook paper
- Scoreboard or scoring tool
- Punch (optional for notches)
- Glue
- Scissors or paper trimmer
Cutting Instructions:
-
Cut the 12×12″ paper horizontally at 5 3/4″.
-
Follow the measurements below for each section:
- Album base: 5 3/4″ x 12″
- Envelope: 7″ x 5 3/4″
- Flap and pocket: 5″ x 5 3/4″
- Vellum piece: 3 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ (optional)
Scoring Instructions:
- For the envelope, score on the 7″ side at 2 3/4″ and 6″.
- For the flap and pocket, score on the 5″ side at 2″.
- For the album base, score on the 12″ side at 4″ and 8″.
Assembly:
Fold along the score lines, glue the pieces together, and assemble as shown in the video tutorial. You can get creative with the envelope placement and decoration. If you're using single-sided paper, that works too! Feel free to add more pockets, experiment with closure options, and personalize the album to suit your style.
This project is quick and perfect for bulk making, especially for the upcoming holiday season. Enjoy crafting your own unique versions!
Happy paper crafting!
