Fall Journal Momigami Cover
This texture inspired fall journal holds photo memories, leaves and other assorted ephemera. The momigami cover is a new journal cover idea of sewn paper layers to help retain the feel and flexibility. It adds structure without the stiffness of a folder or packaging material. A beaded spine, and a variety of page edges add more texture to this simple book design. Heavier scrapbook weight paper spine wrap/flaps help create sections within the one signature and add some pretty details.
Most ephemera for this journal is natural so I just wanted a way to capture the day and the season with color, texture, sound and lots of loose threads reminding me of the blowing straw like grasses, ferns and falling leaves beginning to crunch under my feet, making it a sensory experience that captured our adventure to a new remote and wild place perfectly.
