Instructions
-
Create the Pockets:
- Assemble envelopes to make pockets as shown in the video tutorial. These can be any size. For example, you can cut four 6×6″ pieces from a single 12×12″ sheet to make four coordinating pockets.
- Another pocket style is demonstrated in the video.
-
Create the Tabs:
- Tabs can be assembled in various ways. For this project, stack three strips of different widths and lengths, folding them to create a staggered effect.
- Use a tag corner punch to cut each corner in a tag style, or use a decorator corner punch if available.
- Position the tabs slightly above the top edge of the pocket and glue them in place.
-
Add Decorations:
- Any remaining paper scraps can be used to add more tiny tab decorations to the sides or top of the pocket.
- Pockets can be filled with tags, and cards, and embellished as desired.
- Experiment with adding tabs in different ways, such as along the side or bottom of the pocket.
- Punch a hole or holes and dangle some charms from them, or add some string for additional texture.
These tab pocket toppers are a versatile way to add a creative touch to your paper projects.
