Interactive Folio - 12'x12's #7

Interactive Folio

You’ll love this interactive folio, featuring a bonus envelope inside. Despite its slim design, it boasts a new type of closure perfect for holding a ribbon or string. With three pages to decorate as you wish and plenty of space to store ephemera, it’s one of my favorites.

What you’ll need:

  • One sheet of 12 x 12″ scrapbook paper (double or single-sided)
  • One sheet of 6 x 8″ scrapbook paper (double or single-sided, optional for the envelope)
  • Scoreboard or scoring tool
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • String or ribbon

  1. Cutting and Scoring:

    • Cut the 12 x 12″ scrapbook paper into two pieces, each 6 x 12″.
    • From one of these pieces, cut a 9 1/4″ section, leaving a 2 3/4″ piece.
    • Score the pieces as follows:
      • 6 x 12″ piece: Score on the 12″ side at 2 1/2″, 7″, and 10 1/4″.
      • 6 x 9 1/4″ piece: Score on the 9 1/4″ side at 4″ and 7 1/2″.
      • 2 3/4″ piece: Score at 1/2″.
  2. Assembling the Folio:

    • Follow the tutorial to score, fold, assemble, and glue each piece precisely. Tips for cutting directional paper are included.
  3. Making the Envelope:

    • Use the 6 x 8″ scrapbook paper for the envelope.
    • Score the 6 x 8″ paper as follows:
      • 6″ side: Score at 1/2″ on each side.
      • 8″ side: Score at 2 3/4″ and 6 1/4″.
    • Cut, fold, and assemble the envelope according to the tutorial. Glue this envelope onto the flap inside your folio.
