Interactive Folio
You’ll love this interactive folio, featuring a bonus envelope inside. Despite its slim design, it boasts a new type of closure perfect for holding a ribbon or string. With three pages to decorate as you wish and plenty of space to store ephemera, it’s one of my favorites.
Materials
What you’ll need:
- One sheet of 12 x 12″ scrapbook paper (double or single-sided)
- One sheet of 6 x 8″ scrapbook paper (double or single-sided, optional for the envelope)
- Scoreboard or scoring tool
- Glue
- Scissors
- String or ribbon
Instructions

Cutting and Scoring:
- Cut the 12 x 12″ scrapbook paper into two pieces, each 6 x 12″.
- From one of these pieces, cut a 9 1/4″ section, leaving a 2 3/4″ piece.
- Score the pieces as follows:
- 6 x 12″ piece: Score on the 12″ side at 2 1/2″, 7″, and 10 1/4″.
- 6 x 9 1/4″ piece: Score on the 9 1/4″ side at 4″ and 7 1/2″.
- 2 3/4″ piece: Score at 1/2″.

Assembling the Folio:
- Follow the tutorial to score, fold, assemble, and glue each piece precisely. Tips for cutting directional paper are included.

Making the Envelope:
- Use the 6 x 8″ scrapbook paper for the envelope.
- Score the 6 x 8″ paper as follows:
- 6″ side: Score at 1/2″ on each side.
- 8″ side: Score at 2 3/4″ and 6 1/4″.
- Cut, fold, and assemble the envelope according to the tutorial. Glue this envelope onto the flap inside your folio.

This folio can be decorated in various ways. While I kept mine simple, I’ve included an inspiration video to help you get more ideas, especially for the flap. Whether you keep it simple or go all out, this stylish folio will surely become one of your top paper project ideas.
