Journal or Gift Pocket
This simple, adaptable pocket project is perfect for journals, gifts, or ephemera collections. With just a few easy scores, you can customize it to any height and create three pockets from one 12″x12″ sheet! It's ideal for holding gift cards, photos, tea bags, small treats, or other ephemera, making it the perfect pocket for any occasion.
Supplies Needed:
- Paper: 12″x12″ or 4″x12″ scrapbook paper
- Tools: Scoreboard or scoring tool, scissors or trimmer, punch
Steps:
-
Prepare Your Paper: Place a 4″x12″ strip horizontally on the scoreboard.
-
Score Lines: Score at 2″, 4″, and 8″.
-
Fold and Assemble: Fold along the score lines, burnish each fold, and follow the tutorial assembly steps. Assembly will vary slightly for single-sided paper; trim a corner to hide any white space. For double-sided paper, you can either trim a corner for a tuck or fold it over for added dimension.
-
Decorate and Personalize: Fill with seasonal goodies, decorate to match your theme, and add any finishing touches! If you'd like a closure, a corner bookmark works great and adds a nice extra gift.
Quick Tips:
- Make a bunch in one go to have on hand for quick gifts or as a fun way to use up paper scraps.
