A Quick Little Tag
As I was coming up with shape designs for the last post on tag making without a tag paper punch or die I quickly whipped up these little tags.
It’s simply a square with only two edges rounded from a corner round punch and a topper created with a circle die and a standard paper punch.
If you need a gift tag in a hurry but want it to be a little special this will do. I think the design would be especially nice at Christmas as it resembles an ornament.
It’s also a great way to use up scraps. Add this to a single color paper sack gift bag and the bag is instantly jazzed up. You could even dangle some little charms or paper shapes on a string from the bottom by punching another hole. Cover with lace and add a shaped paper flower and it becomes exquisite for a wedding gift. Emboss the shape and cover the other side with plain paper and stamp a sentiment along with to: and from: and it becomes an instant card. Make it small enough to punch a larger hole in the center and make it a fun shaker tag for a birthday gift. The inspiration is endless when you are not constrained to working with a standard shape.
Think out of the box when it comes to tag making. I hope these designs inspire you when you need a common item to embellish a gift bag. Your friends and family will appreciate the creativity and the special touch.
Happy paper crafting!
