Six-Pocket Folder Project 12x12's #16

Six-Pocket Folder Project

This six-pocket folder is a great way to add some unique embellishments to your paper crafting projects while also using up those leftover scraps. You can personalize it with as many final touches as you like, making it a versatile and creative addition to your collection.

Materials Needed:

  • 12x12" scrapbook paper (non-directional, double-sided; single-sided paper can also work with tips from the video)
  • Assorted scraps for filling, creating a front pocket, and a 2" wide piece for a page tab divider
  • Scoreboard
  • Glue
  • Scissors or paper trimmer

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Your Paper:

    • Start with a 12x12" sheet of scrapbook paper.
    • Score the paper at 4" and 8".
    • Rotate the paper 90 degrees (a quarter turn) and score at 6".
    • Fold and burnish along the score lines.
  2. Cutting:

    • Cut along the 6" score line from each side to the center rectangle, as demonstrated in the video.
  3. Folding and Assembly:

    • As you begin to fold and assemble, remember that the top fold will come forward and fold down. This should help you keep track of the direction while creating the pages and pockets.
  4. Personalization:

    • Once assembled, your six-pocket folder will hold a lot while still lying flat. You can add various embellishments and decorations to make it your own.

Happy paper crafting!
