Two Pocket Inserts
Create a versatile two-pocket insert with just two folds and plenty of room for creative exploration. Whether using single-sided or double-sided scrapbook paper or digitals, you can even use up those larger scraps. The standard measurement provided in this tutorial is a starting point, but once you master the basic construction, you can adapt the size to suit your needs.
Materials Needed:
- 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ paper
- Scoreboard or scoring tool
- Glue
- Scissors or trimmer
- Paper punch
Instructions:

Score the Paper:
- Place your paper on the scoreboard with the 8 1/2″ side aligned.
- Score at 5″.
- Score at 1 1/2″ or, after folding at the first scoreline, fold the leftover edge of the paper from left to right. The placement of your paper on the scoreboard will vary depending on its orientation; see the video for tips.

Fold and Punch:
- Fold along the scorelines.
- Punch notches as shown in the video.

Assemble:
- Apply glue as indicated in the video to secure the folds.
- Fill and decorate the pockets as desired.
The final card measurement is 3″ x 4″. This simple project offers endless possibilities for crafting fun, making it perfect for summer relaxation or a creative boost while using up paper scraps.
