Valentine Pop Up Card Holder

Valentine Pop Up Card Holder

Looking for a charming and adaptable Valentine's Day paper craft? I've revamped last week's delightful gift card holder, making it slightly larger to accommodate more items. This versatile creation can transform into a mini book or notebook, perfect for holding various ephemera and a 3×3" card with an envelope if desired.

Materials Needed:

  • 4″ x 12″ scrapbook paper of your choice (double or single-sided)
  • Scoreboard (helpful)
  • Glue
  • Trimmer or scissors
  • Embellishments of your choosing

Score paper on the long side at:

1 1/4", 5", 6 5/8", 8 1/4" fold as shown in video.

Before decorating the front of the pocket, remember to trim a sliver to create the pocket opening. This step is crucial and cannot be done afterward. The front of the pocket serves as a canvas for your decorative touches.

I opted for a simple reinforced hole and ribbon closure for this card holder, but feel free to choose a closure that suits your preference.

The mini book is attached to the back side of the holder (the side with the flap). This insert can be customized in numerous ways; my approach was straightforward.

This design is not only quick to create but also a joy to imagine various decorating possibilities. It can accommodate a range of items, from Valentines and stickers to assorted ephemera or even tea. Moreover, you can modify it to include extras like notebooks, lace cards, button cards, gift cards, tags, or additional pockets on the inside, front, or back. An engaging and interactive project with endless potential that will be cherished by recipients of all ages.

Happy paper crafting!
