Triple Pocket Holder
This easy project is a card-sized adaptation of a previous 12×12″ paper craft project which you can find here...
In this version, there's a pocket specifically designed to hold an index card. With the leftover scraps, you can create tabs, a journal card, a tag, or whatever else you’d like.
Materials
You will need:
- One 12×12″ sheet of scrapbook paper, cut to 8.5×11″
- A scoreboard or scoring tool
- Glue
- Scissors
Instructions
- Start with your 8.5×11″ piece of paper. Place it in portrait orientation on your scoreboard and score at 4 1/4″. Then, turn your paper to landscape orientation and score at 5 1/2″. These scores will mark the center points of each side.
- On the left side, cut along the scoreline up to the center point. Fold, burnish, and assemble according to the video tutorial.
- To create the index card, measure your 3 1/2″x12″ piece to fit the card length, mark it with a pencil, and cut it out. Remember to account for a glue margin—no need to adjust the width.
- Use the remaining scraps to create a journal card and tags. The 1″ scrap can be used to make tabs and a tiny tag, as shown in the video. The pocket can be either top-loading or side-loading. If you want to add a notch, position it so that it’s visible in the triangular space.
The final size of the project is 4.25″ x 5.5″, which corresponds to a standard A2-sized card. This triple pocket holder offers plenty of storage, making it perfect for gift-giving, happy mail, or as an ephemera holder in your journal. It can also hold a mini book.
Happy crafting!
